There can be a lot of moving pieces when it comes to managing projects in RoboHead, and these pieces have a direct impact on the accuracy and reliability of the reports you use on a regular basis.
If you think there’s a lot of “garbage” that’s showing up on your reports, chances are there’s a fair amount of “garbage” going into it. And by “garbage”, I mean inaccurate data. I’ve compiled a shortlist of the 3 most common reasons why a RoboHead report could produce inaccurate data.
- If you or your team doesn’t diligently maintain the current status of your Projects, then every time you report on the status, chances are that it won’t be correct.
- The same thing goes for Task status. If your team doesn’t mark Tasks complete or keep the statuses up-to-date, then don’t expect an accurate Task report — it’s not going to happen.
- Last, are you archiving completed Projects? Unarchived Projects are considered active, so if that number of active Projects isn’t decreasing and you don’t know why, it’s probably because the Projects aren’t being archived.
